Mr John Weber has been reappointed for another three-year term on the Western Sydney Airport board.
Mr Weber’s reappointment as a non-executive director will see him guide this once-in-a-generation project through its peak construction and into the commercial development phase.
Western Sydney Airport Chair Paul O’Sullivan said Mr Weber’s extensive knowledge has been an important part of the project’s success to date.
“I congratulate Mr Weber on his reappointment and look forward to his continuing contribution,” Mr O’Sullivan said.
“The project will continue to benefit from his considerable experience and expertise as critical work begins on our three remaining major works packages.”
Mr Weber has worked in both industry and government across a diverse range of sectors, including transport, infrastructure, financial services and defence. He brings a wealth of Board experience from his roles in a number of public, private and not-for-profit organisations.
Mr Weber currently sits on the Board of Airservices Australia as Chairman and is a non executive director of both Dimeo Group and AMS Group. In previous executive roles in the legal sector Mr Weber was Chief Executive of Minter Ellison and later a Managing Partner of DLA Piper, and member of the international executive of that firm.
