Paul O'Sullivan

Mr Paul O'Sullivan
Chair and Non-executive Director  

Paul is the first Chair of the WSA Co Limited and was appointed in August 2017. Before joining us, Paul was the CEO of Singtel Group Consumer from 2012 to 2014, and the CEO of Optus from 2004 to 2012. Before those roles, Paul worked in a range of senior positions within Optus, and in management roles with the Colonial Group and the Royal Dutch Shell Group in Canada, the Middle East, Australia and the United Kingdom. Paul is also the Chair of Optus Pty Ltd and ANZ Banking Group, and a Non-executive Director of St Vincent’s Health Australia. 
 

Mr Tim Eddy
Non-executive Director 

Tim Eddy has more than 30 years’ experience in leading and managing in professional services environments, including as Managing Partner Operations, Oceania at EY. He has expertise in global and national transformation and change, developing new service offerings and growth strategies for business operations, risk management and governance best practice, and driving sound financial outcomes. Tim serves as Chairman of Bio101 and holds several non-executive board positions with The Red Fox Group, Racing Victoria Ltd, Magenta Linas, and Rennie Advisory.

Tim Eddy

Ms Anthea Hammon 
Non-executive Director 

Anthea is a tourism business leader with over 15 years’ experience. She is the Managing Director of Scenic World and its parent company, Hammons Holdings, which operates BridgeClimb on the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Anthea is the Vice President of the Blue Mountains Accommodation and Tourism Association and has served as a Director of Blue Mountains Economic Enterprise, and the Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association. Anthea also serves as a Director of the Western Parkland City Authority (WPCA). Anthea holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of NSW, and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Ken Kanofski

Mr Ken Kanofski
Non-executive Director 

Ken Kanofski is a company director and independent advisor with more than 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. Ken has significant experience in transport, roads, venue management, water, energy, telecommunications, waste, recycling, renewables, housing and local government and looks forward to using this expertise to make Western Sydney International the airport of choice for Sydney. Ken serves on the board of directors for the Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Placemaking NSW, and is principal of his own advisory business providing transport and infrastructure advice to public and private sector clients.

Mrs Donna-Maree Vinci
Non-executive Director 

Donna is currently the Non-Executive Director on the boards of NGM Group, Hunter Water, Capricorn Society, MS Plus and Oakhill College. Donna brings a wealth of experience in strategy, data management, digital transformation, technology, operational efficiency, risk oversight and corporate governance to Western Sydney international. She is passionate about elevating people and businesses to meaningfully connect with the needs and expectations of their customers staff and stakeholders. While technologically driven, Donna’s approach is also centered on culture and mindset – and a personal commitment to continuously learn through new experiences and exploring new opportunities that enable change.

Simon Hickey

Simon Hickey 
Chief Executive Officer 


A senior executive of more than 30 years across aviation, construction and retail, Simon leads the team developing the business and infrastructure for Sydney’s new airport. A globally experienced CEO and CFO, as former chief executive of Qantas International and Freight, Simon led the return to profitability of the nation’s flagship carrier, establishing new network alliances, improving aircraft utilisation and increasing customer advocacy. A pioneering architect of merging customer experience and data analytics to drive strategies based on human and data centric insights, Simon’s leadership transformed Qantas’ loyalty program from its origins of 20 people in direct marketing to a separate, independent business that is now valued at over $3 billion. Simon is motivated by Western Sydney Airport’s unique opportunity to drive meaningful socioeconomic change across Western Sydney, while setting a new benchmark for passengers, airlines and air cargo operators.

Shelley Turner 
Chief Financial Officer  


Shelley began her career working at PwC Sydney in professional services where she obtained her chartered accounting qualification, and then moved into finance roles internationally for resource companies Shell and Caltex, before moving into the airline industry.  She was CFO for Air Seychelles and Etihad Regional in Switzerland and has held several senior roles with Etihad.   Prior to joining Western Sydney Airport, Shelley was Etihad’s Group Vice President, Financial Reporting based in Abu Dhabi. Shelley joined WSA as Chief Financial Officer in September 2017, and leads a team responsible for finance, treasury, corporate procurement, compliance and audit.  For Shelley, drawing on her aviation sector experience to build a best-in-class greenfield airport in her home city is inspiring. She is also motivated by the opportunity to show young people in Western Sydney and beyond what women can achieve at a senior level in STEM disciplines.

Alison Webster

Alison Webster 
Executive General Manager – Commercial and Strategy 


Alison brings over 30 years' experience as a senior executive across aviation, global freight and supply chain logistics, as well as multi-site catering operations. She has expertise in customer strategy and customer experience design, development and delivery demonstrated in senior roles at British Airways in the UK and more recently as Chief Executive Officer of Qantas International. Alison also has significant experience in transforming low margin businesses to achieve outstanding improvements in financial performance. Alison held a senior Customer and Operations role at Anglicare Sydney, including accountability for the sales, customer service and performance transformation of 22 Retirement Living Villages, many of which are in the Western Sydney region. Alison was drawn to her role with Western Sydney Airport by the chance deliver a transformative customer experience for passengers, airlines and our air cargo partners by leveraging the airport’s unique greenfield opportunity.

Matt Duffy 
Chief Operating Officer 


Matt has spent most of his career in and around airports. His first job was with Qantas Group where he became a licensed aircraft engineer and held a variety of engineering and maintenance leadership roles, including business improvement for the heavy maintenance team. Before joining WSA, Matt was Kingsford Smith Airport’s General Manager of Operations for nine years and led the end-to-end operations of the airport, overseeing the teams responsible for asset allocation, aviation safety, security, and resilience. For Matt, the opportunity to take his extensive operational airport experience and apply it to the innovation potential of a greenfield airport is compelling. He is focussed on finding new ways to influence design, regulations and sustainability outcomes to deliver a compelling proposition for Western Sydney International’s customers.

Jim Tragotsalos

Jim Tragotsalos 
Executive General Manager – Airport Infrastructure 


Jim has 30 years of operations experience as a Civil Engineer across senior executive positions within major infrastructure contracting organisations, such as John Holland and Thiess. He has demonstrated experience, authority and authenticity to create and sustain long term relationships across multiple stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes. Jim leads the team at Western Sydney Airport responsible for safety and security, major construction procurement, planning and design, construction project management and environment. He is responsible for leading the WSA partnership with Delivery & Definition partner, Bechtel. Having grown up in Liverpool, Jim is passionate about providing the local Western Sydney community employment opportunities, as well as building a world-class airport.

Tom McCormack 
Chief Technology Officer 


Tom is responsible for the design and implementation of all technology and cyber security aspects of what will be Australia’s most technologically advanced airport.  Over his career, Tom has been involved in the creation, implementation and operations of complex technology systems across various sectors, including financial services, transportation, public sector, and media amongst others.  With a breadth of experience across both the FMCG and aviation industries, Tom has held a number of transformational technology leadership roles with a range of global brands.  He is widely regarded for providing thought leadership in technology delivery models and their execution. Tom is passionate about technology leaders using a strong voice at the executive level to create new levels of digital efficiency and advantage for business and in doing so grow the abilities of technology professionals and technology providers.

Steven Van Der Donk

Steven Van Der Donk 
Chief Legal Officer 


Steven brings more than 25 years’ experience in law, leadership, infrastructure and engineering within high performing complex government and private sector organisations. Prior to Western Sydney Airport, Steven provided successful values-driven leadership of a grouped in-house legal function as Deputy Chief Legal Officer for NBN Co, and strategic in-house legal advice at Laing O’Rourke Australia. Steven started his career as a civil engineer, serving as an Army Commissioned Officer in the Royal Australian Engineers. He has extensive experience in legal private practice across infrastructure, projects, banking and project finance at Mallesons Stephen Jacques (now King & Wood Mallesons), and as a Project Management consultant for GHD, including supporting Transport for NSW. Steven committed to improving Australia’s society and economy through opportunities and equality generated by connected and socially-focused infrastructure.

Kirby Grattan 

Chief People Officer 

Kirby brings over 25 years’ experience as a senior human resources executive across multiple industries in the Asia Pacific, EMEA and the Americas. She is responsible for strengthening our purpose-driven and inclusive culture and ensuring our people are supported and empowered to deliver Sydney’s new airport. Before joining Western Sydney Airport, Kirby led the delivery of best-in-class people and culture solutions as Optus’ Senior Director – HR Shared Services and Organisation Capability, where she managed a team of over 120 HR professionals supporting an employee base of more than 9,500 people. She has also held senior HR executive roles at infrastructure service provider Ventia, Schneider Electric, Commonwealth Bank and Cisco Systems. Kirby is passionate about creating compelling employee experiences that allow our people to reach their full potential, build lasting careers and align with our purpose of driving generational socioeconomic uplift across Western Sydney.
