The construction, development and launch of Western Sydney International will bring with it exciting business opportunities, and we will continue to invite tender submissions and expressions of interests throughout the process.
Work on the airport site is divided into two development phases: enabling activities and main airport works. The main airport works program includes:
- earthworks to move and redistribute 22 million cubic metres of soil on the airport site;
- a 3.7 kilometre runway, aprons, taxiways and other appropriate aviation facilities;
- a multi-level terminal with a floor area of up to 90,000 square metres;
- drainage and utilities;
- car-parking facilities for about 11,500 cars; and
- on-site roads.

Registration of Interest for Retail opportunities at WSI
The purpose is to provide for interested parties to register interest in the following retail categories that may be included in the final in terminal retail precinct plan:
- Duty free stores
- Foreign exchange
- Travel essentials that may include books, magazines, technology, luggage, convenience items
- Australian experience or souvenirs
- Food and beverage that could be instore or kiosk
- General retail that could include technology, kids experience, toys, apparel, accessories, confectionery
- Services that include pharmacy, medical, florist, communications, including sim card and post office
Please note that interested parties can nominate for one category or multiple and WSA is happy to receive interest for categories that are not included above.
