Open tenders

The construction, development and launch of Western Sydney International will bring with it exciting business opportunities, and we will continue to invite tender submissions and expressions of interests throughout the process.

Work on the airport site is divided into two development phases: enabling activities and main airport works. The main airport works program includes:

  • earthworks to move and redistribute 22 million cubic metres of soil on the airport site;
  • a 3.7 kilometre runway, aprons, taxiways and other appropriate aviation facilities;
  • a multi-level terminal with a floor area of up to 90,000 square metres;
  • drainage and utilities;
  • car-parking facilities for about 11,500 cars; and
  • on-site roads.

Car rental opportunities at WSI

We're excited to provide the opportunity for interested parties to register their interest in operating a car rental business at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI).

Car rental forms part of the integrated ground transport plan for WSI to give travellers easy access to the new gateway to greater Sydney. We're developing a range of car rental facilities to provide customers more choice and value, enable 24-hour access to services all year round and to provide best-in-class car rental products and services for our customers.

The opportunity includes customer-facing space in the terminal, ready bays located a short walk away from the terminal, as well as a back of house area, located a short drive away from the terminal.

The Registration of Interest (ROI) is now open for WSI to identify suitably qualified operators to participate in the Request for Proposal (RFP). Interested parties who can demonstrate satisfaction of minimum requirements in the ROI may be invited to participate in the RFP later in 2024.

Please register now to lodge your registration of interest by 3pm AEST on 12 July 2024.
